Warming Behaviour of Solid Paradichlorobenzene Lab
This lab handout gives a detailed procedure for observing the warming behaviour of solid paradichlorobenzene, while taking temperature measurements. A temperature-time graph is made using the results of this experiment and students will learn what the various parts of the graph indicate about matter. This is a good experiment for an introductory chemistry course. Photographs of the equipment set-up are included to make the experiment easy to set up and carry out. Make sure adequate safety precautions are taken before attempting to do this lab with students.
